Santiago &Letitia Rivera

Santiago Rivera and his bride Letitia have been married for over ten years. Together with their blended family they have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. They live in Washington,  D.C.
They enjoy the outdoors together. Santiago first time fishing from a kayak was with his brother Carlos in 1977. Fishing has been a passion and an escape from the everyday norms of life.

In his life Santiago was once homeless and a crack addict, this situation was healed by Jesus Christ after over a year on the streets and addicted, he was healed and relived of the addiction overnight. This time in his life created a passion within him for those who struggle with addiction. Another one of his passions is working with Men, and young boys who struggle with addictions, and life issues.

He founded KFWC back in 2013 while in a Kayak Bass Tournament as usual Santiago launched and began to pray for safety for him and the other fishermen in the tournament, as he finished and said his Amen’s to his surprise he heard other men join in with him on the Amen. The vision for Kayak Fishing With Christ was birthed from that prayer, that day on the water. Santiago vision given to him by God is that, KFWC will become a safe place where men along with their families can come together not just to fish from their kayaks, but to be healed, build lifelong friendships, express themselves freely by asking questions, sharing their struggles, and gain a stronger walk with Christ.

Santiago life’s verse Matthew 7:24-27
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
