I am a United States Navy veteran who served aboard the USS, John F. Kennedy, CV 67. I have three daughters and a son. We all have kayaks and enjoy every moment that we can on the water and on campsites across Virginia. I am a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. On 9/6/16 while in a rehab center, I was awakened by what I remember to be a bright light. I knew from this point that with God in my life I could do this. I attend church at Northstar community, which is a recovery ministry. We have a men’s meeting before service each Sunday, and once a month, I get the opportunity to share my story with a small group of men from The Healing Place, which is the rehab that I was in. When I decided to try my hand at tournament fishing, I ran across KFWC! I remember, clicking on every bit of information that I could find, and my search was over. I also remember telling a friend how I accidentally found this group. Well, they assured me that it was no accident! I was baptized at last year’s National meet-up! This group has become a large part of my life, and is always in my prayers! It is an honor, privilege, and a true blessing to be a part of this group.  Looking forward to this next step as an Ambassador for KFWC VA.
