Jackie & Mrs.Hughes
My name is Jackie Hughes. In the Kayak world I'm have been nicknamed the "Rev". As a child I was raised in the church by my aunts. They made sure that every sunday I was in church. As I got older I remained faithful to attending church but I also began to have issues at home. My mother was very emotionally abusive, I was always told how I would never amount to much so at 16 I started living from house to house with friends. If it wasnt for God having His hand on my life I would not be here today. As I got older I seeked out my dreams of working in public service. I studied hard and became a Firefighter, EMT on a Paramedic truck, and finally becoming a federal agent with Immigration and a Deputy Sheriff. I am married to my beautiful wife Melissa and we both are active in our community and church. We have two children and 4 grandchildren. I got into Kayaking through a tragedy within my family in the passing of my father. He loved to fish so I decided in order for his memories to last forever I would continue to live out his passion of fishing and the water. In everything I do I make it a point to put God first and to share with others what He has done for me. So I not only fish for fish, I Fish For Men. I love to write specially when God touches my pen. His words are amazing and I enjoy seeing what He has to say. I hope that God blesses you today and thanks for checking us out here at KFWC. If there is anything I can help you with give me a shout on FB.
And remember the Son is always shining even in the rain
